Simply Moderne interview

I've pinched this photo from Lorena's instagram feed because I was so excited to share it with you and I haven't picked up my copy yet. Early this year, I was fortunate to host the editor and photographer of Simply Moderne in my home. Simply Moderne is a new magazine with a modern quilting focus from the creative team at Quiltmania. I feel so fortunate to be included in article about modern quilters in Australia.

It was a harried day when they came. Craig and I were actually camping several hours away from home, so we drove back, doing a six hour round trip journey, for the interview. I scrambled to press quilts for photos, neglecting my own appearance. I'm sporting what's known as camping hair in the photo. Craig was milling about the house, and I'm excited they included him in the photo too.

Simply Moderne is a French made magazine and there are a few charming quirks in the translation, but it's a beautiful magazine and well worth a read. My interview appears in issue 2, which should be available in Europe and the US now; and on Australian shelves soon.
