Wake Up Call

Finding time to stitch while working full-time has been a wee bit more challenging than I expected, but somethings are worth making time for. Last weekend, I put the final binding stitches on my Transmission quilt which is made with my #wakeupcallquilt pattern.

The quilt block was designed during my daily design stint at Quilt Block a Day. I wrote the pattern, pieced and assembled the blocks; and then spontaneously packed the travel-trailer and moved to Adelaide for a short stint. I quilted and bound Transmission in my 125 square foot caravan using Aurifil 2606 and my Bernina patchwork machine.

I have to admit, I'm pretty chuffed about how this one came together. I don't have plans for the quilt yet. I'm sure those will fall into place soon. I know I've been a bit AWOL, but I expect things to become a wee bit more routine at my new job soon with new quilts and new patterns to follow.

The #wakeupcallquilt block is available in my Craftsy shop for a piddly $2.50.

happy crafting.
