confession wednesday - things I own

Wednesdays are a good day for confession. So here it is: Last year, I saw this book on String Art and I decided that I must own it.

I kept my secret to myself until I was brave enough to mention it at Brown Owls one night. Then I kept it squandered away for another few months until string art was a competition on comedy-game show called Talkin' Bout your Generation.

I finally mentioned it to Craig. We talked about string art from our childhoods. I had a black felt piece with a train on it. He had once created the Golden Gate bridge. I showed him the photos from the book and he noted the bridge was just like his.

Somehow the tv show had made string art briefly ok, so I posted something in my facebook status. A decision I quickly regretted. I was too slow to remove it. Curlypops spied the status and asked to see photos on my blog. I was embarrassed. My book returned to the shelf. I kept it hidden a while longer.

My name is Amy. I own a book about string art. This afternoon, I'm going to the hardware store to buy some nails.

  6. My parents had a string art owl that I loved as a child. I was really sad when they got rid of it. Yay for string art!

  7. I had forgotten about string art! My 1970 craft era confession? I bought myself a spirograph. Wouldn't a spirograph inspired string art project be perfect???
