Pillow Swap Round 2 - What a lucky gal!

In the first round of the Pillow Swap, there's no doubt that I received some stunners. Top of the lot. Quite ace.

I thought it unlikely that I could do so well a second time and had quietly accepted that while satisifying, this round was probably going to be a wee bit disappointing. Then I patiently watched as guys and girls posted sneak peeks. I made a Word document to track some of my favourites to see when they were shipping and who was getting them. I know it's wrong to admit that I have clear favourites in a swap, but I do. There was one that was posted that I actually said outloud to myself "I don't think anyone could love this pillow more than I could." I'm sure I committed atleast a handful of deadly sins when I saw it in the group. Lust and greed among them...

and then today, it arrived at my house. And for the second time, I count myself as extremely lucky. I don't yet have a form for it and I haven't pulled out an iron, but I couldn't wait to take some photos of the gem that Penny of SewTakeAHike sent to me. It's a gorgeous combination of colours, cottons and linens. Photos don't do it justice.

She's a genius really. She mocked up the pattern herself based on a blog button. She's got tons of amazing tutorials in her side bar.

And if that weren't enough, apparently she's sent some sort of spy to my house and noticed we have no potholders. None. We lost them all to a massive grease spill while making roast. So the little bonus gem she's sent will be put to good use and seems to perfectly match Mr Badskirt's favourite foods - tomatoes and avocados!
