hexies everywhere.

Aside from all of the Kei Honeycomb stacked in the craft room, I'm seeing hexies everywhere I turn! First, there are these teeny tiny ones that I've started on for some yet to be determined project - pincushions? applique? who knows?!

They measure 10mm on a side. I bought the cardboards in Japan along with some diamonds and slightly bigger hexies. I wish I could show them without my basting, but we aren't quite there yet!

And I'm also participating in the inaugural { Handsome } Hexie Swap. I got a cracker of a partner with Ariel. She was hoping for aqua and tangerine hexagons. So I sent a mix of Japanese, Heather Ross and linen hexagons for her to piece together. She has two little boys (almost!) so I chose cars, ambulances, sealife and forest critters as my theme. I added a couple of applique hexies to the mix too.

And today, I received my swap package from Terri of Sew-Fanstastic. And that's pretty much all I can say. It was Sew-Fantastic! Four little parcels in one! Greens and blues, honeycomb and text, munki munki and some linen buttons with an extra few dozen buttons in case I lose one. She also sent along little kawaii tissues. I loved every hexagon that she sent! What I really like about this swap is how much potential comes in a little white box. So many ideas and future projects for me with wonderful prints that I don't own.

And so we have hexies, hexies, everywhere. I could stare at them for hours! What will they become?! Wall hangings? Stool covers? Mini-quilts?!
