This was a collaborative project between Craig and I. My sewing room chair was on it's last legs, literally. We scoured shops this weekend but nothing seemed quite right. Then I found this one on ebay for $10 and thought a bit of a refresh could turn it around. With a bit of Kumiko Fujita fabric and a staple gun, we churned this out.
Boy, oh, boy! I am happy. I think the back is my favourite part.

its gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteNice work. I just picked up two similar chairs off the side of the road and am contemplating recovering them in oil cloth. I'm just not too sure how well it will stand up to being trashed by the kids....
ReplyDeleteGreat result! Nice job.
ReplyDeleteLove love love it! I did this with our dining rooom chairs - pre kids they were cream. Post kids, they were gross. It is amazing that a bit of fabric and a staple gun can make so much difference.
