Vintage Couture under the Hammer

I was hesitant to share this at first as my own budget is quite small, but I feel like this is a secret that I should let you guys in on.  This Friday, June 22nd, some great frocks from the Sandie Bizys vintage couture collection are falling under the hammer with Lawson's Auction house.  If you've lived in Sydney for a while, you've undoubtedly seen Sandies gorgeous hats at the races and weddings. You've probably seen her dresses in the old Annandale shop.  Or maybe you know her daughter Ebony of Hello Sandwich?

I was scouting around for vintage auctions to attend in the next few weeks. It's an odd pasttime, I know.  I really like looking at collectibles and having the minor thrill of owning it for a minute only to be outbid. The little emotional rollercoaster gets me excited. My wallet thanks me for never winning. This auction will undoubtedly have some gorgeous eye candy and a lot of thrills. I'm sure dedicated collectors will come along, but maybe you'll scoop up something wonderful like this Dior:
