donut practice.

donut practice.
Sew, Mama, Sew shared Averie Cooks' eggnog donut recipe today. I rushed out and bought a donut pan. Actually a mini-donut pan since that's what I found here in Australia. These still need glazed, but not bad for my first homemade donut baking experiment.

I changed up a few things in the recipe to work with the ingredients we had at home and to make them gluten-free for Craig.  My version is based off Averie's but with the following changes:

- 1 cup Orgran all-purpose gluten free flour
- 1 tsp gluten-free baking powder
- 1 tbsp Nuttlex
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla sugar
- 1/2 cup rice milk

Yum. So good! If you're in Australia, Big W stocks the mini donut pans for $12.88.

  2. Those look so good... I have been trying hard to resist buying a donut pan but I don't know how much longer I can hold out!
