Making a Nest Giveaway.
This giveaway is now closed. Winner will be announced shortly.
We settled into our home quickly. We tossed down the quilts and the pillows and we made a nest. To celebrate, I asked the girls at Polka Dot Tea to sponsor a housewarming giveaway with some of their Japanese fabrics. Jeannette pulled together a bundle of ten prints, which I'm going to giveaway to you.
Before I do, I want to tell you about some things that I love about Polka Dot Tea. The first is that they sell hard-to-find Japanese fabrics from Yuwa and Kei. The second is that they sell small cuts will allow you to have pieces of special fabric without breaking the bank. The third thing that I like is that they are a small, independently-owned Australian company. I know from first-hand experience that selling fabric online in Australia is a tough gig with a significant economic outlay, so kudos to Jeannette and Danielle for making a good run at it.
Want to win? Two simple ways to enter, you can do both!
Option 1: Visit the Polka Dot Tea Etsy shop, then leave a comment on this post with a link to a fabrics or bundles would look best in your nest. Maybe it's the Liberty Club?
Option 2: I really want to see your patchwork nest, so take a snapshot of it -- the messy couch covered in quilts and cushions, the rumpled bed quilts, the cozy chair with the patchwork pillow -- post it to Instagram or Flickr and tag it with #makeitanest and #polkadottea Stuck for ideas? see my nest post for inspiration!
--
The entries of both types will be consolidated and drawn in a random draw on 5 September at noon, Melbourne Australia time. The photo above are the fabrics that will be given away. A second place winner will also receive a PDF copy of my Woven Slashes pattern - perfect for making your own nest. Good luck and happy making!
