In print: Cordial on Sunday

It's been out for a couple of weeks, but I couldn't make it to a newsagent until now. My quilt, Cordial on Sunday is available in the current issue, 15-10, of Australia's Patchwork & Stitching magazine. This design is a variation of one of my daily quilt sketches from Quilt Design a Day. In the same issue, I've written an article talking about the ins and outs of raw edge appliqué.

If you're an Australian reader, there are a few bloggers you might recognize in the issue. It's sold in a three pack of magazines at most newsagents, so it's a good value at $9.95.  I'd love to see this made up. Let me know, if you give it a go!

happy crafting

  1. Oh Amy, I love your quilt! Living in Athens, Greece is a little difficult to find the magazine so I wrote to the magazine to ask them if I can buy the current issue but they answered they cannot sell just a single magazine and they suggested that the publishers (magstore) may be able to help. I just sent them a note and I am waiting their answer...

  2. It's a lovely design but I'm shocked that it wasn't made up for the magazine!!!
Pretty soon we will have whole magazines without real quilts in them.
We can also stay home and cover our laps and beds with pictures of quilts, instead of real ones. Oh my...

    1. The photo on the right is an actual sewn quilt. Look closely. No need to go into a neurotic panic yet. I used solid linens and cottons with the aim of making a strong graphic design.
