visits from the courier

The courier and I are becoming quite good friends this week. He's been to the house three times today alone and I know he's due back tomorrow. The storage room is already overflowing and I'm headed to Japan in three weeks. All new fabrics to the shop fabrics are on sale.


Sevenberry is a Japanese manufacturer and this aqua&dark pink combination knocked my socks off. If it looks familiar, you've seen it before in this dress.


And because I always run out at the worst moments, I'm now stocking natural linen-cotton basecloth. This is extra wide at 145cm instead of 110cm. More bang for your buck. It's 55% linen/45% cotton and similar in texture and quality to the original Ink&Spindle basecloth. Because of it's width, all orders of this fabric will come supersized (50x70cm fat quarters instead of 50x55cm, strips are 145cm wide)
