A+ That's me. I am a blood donor. I'm not an A plus donor though, because I'm a little late in giving. I am making up for it by donating during the holiday period. In Australia; we have 5 days of public holidays for Good Friday, Easter, ANZAC Day and belated Easter Monday. I was really POed at the thought that I wouldn't be getting mail for nearly a week. I was quite livid actually.
Then, just tonight, I realized that I was quite lucky. Though I can live without mail, many patients cannot live without the platelets that come from blood donations. The Red Cross Blood Donation Centres need your help this Easter and ANZAC holiday.
Online you can book appointments six days in advance, or to get in quicker over Easter (when your help is needed most) just give the blood bank a call 13 14 95.
You can be A+ too!
We wish that we could donate blood. My husband is English and due to mad cow in the UK (even though he never ate beef until coming to Australia) he cant donate. I had growth hormone as a child (yes my mum believed I was not tall enough) and that rules me out otherwise we would donate every opportunity we could. I agree on the mail situation though - no mail for nearly a week. Terrible!

How weird, I am A positive and went to donate yesterday too, it really tires me out tho, I needed a nap today!

Fantastic Amy, I wish more people would donate blood. I have needed it myself and I would donate but im not allowed - my hubby does tho :D
